Testing Lymph Nodes for Cancer
In this section, you get to be a virtual pathologist. You'll pick lymph nodes from the tissue a doctor removes during colon cancer surgery. You'll get to check the lymph nodes you pick for cancer cells, then use your results to diagnose the patient with Stage II or Stage III colon cancer. In the process, you'll learn which lymph nodes are the most important ones to test to see if the patient's cancer has started to spread.
